As far as blogging is concerned, WordPress plays a big role. Being an open source blog-management software, most bloggers highly recommend this for being effective, efficient and easy to use, all at the same time.
As for the installation of WordPress, you will get a default theme which you might want to customize. But because you can’t or rather lazy to do the tweaks, you will choose the K2 theme as your blog layout because of its professional touch and its easy-to-use customization panel. K2 is a theme specifically made to work on WordPress; all I can say is they really made a good job.

As far as I’m conserned, Wordpress is the best blogging platform for pros and newbies alike.
The main benefits are that it’s easy for a newbie to get started, select a template theme and to get the first posts up and published.
And when the blog grows and you gain more experience over time, Wordpress will always be there for you. You can always rest assuered that your blog never will out-grow Wordpress.
When you get used to Wordpress it’s also very easy to change your blog template in case you don’t want to stay with K2 in the long run.
