Tribal Wars is a free web-based strategy game that is comprised of individuals in different tribes. Every individual is entitled of a single village at start. The player must grow that village until he is able to conquer another. He must balance the resources, train defensive and offensive troops, etc. He can organize his own tribe or join an existing tribe. Tribes can declare war with other tribes or be allied to them.
During the period of MMORPG, browser-based games started to pop. At first, I thought I won’t be playing Tribal Wars for long due to its being web-based and not being real-time. But guess what, this is my fifth month playing Tribal Wars and I’m still enjoying it!

The images are good as well as the interface. They have a Premium Account program which a player could purchase and gives more advanced and easy-to-use buttons and links.
I haven’t purchased a premium account because I am satisfied with the standard interface. You might want to try it and see if you will get hooked too.

jeps, I think the best way to learn the game is thru experience. But I will advise you to play defensively since you are just starting. Upgrade your walls to 20, train as many swords and spears as you can, maxout your Farm so you can produce maximum troops.
Daniel, yes CMFAM is attacking and nobling the inactive members of ME. They surrendered attacking my villages because they can’t even put a scratch on my walls
And also, I am the one who triggered the war when I took a village from a CMFAM member. I am bored without war so I started one. LOL. Now my tribemates are suffering because of that. But I wonder why CMFAM attack other villages when they should be attacking mine

Hi i’m Roy and i have been playing TW for over 1 year now, i only play on worlds 1, 2, 9 and 10 but i did play on all the worlds once lol.
Anyway my favourite world is world 2 which i have almost 900,000 points on, world 1 is not very good as i’m alway’s been attacked lol, world 9 and 10 i’m small on with 1 village both under 1000 points.
I might start to injoy world 10 more than world 2 soon though as its much faster than world 2 in fact its the fastest world apart from the speed server that is.
Anyway for those who are new to the game, i suggest reading this thread as there are some very good tips been handed out, my own tip for new player’s is simple and very important not only for the start but for later on in the game.
When you 1st start depending on which world you join your points will be anything up to 116 points which isn’t much and so many people make the mistake of thinking they will not be attacked which is not true.
In order to survive you need troops asap, and those who are looking to attack people and creat what is called a farm (someone they attack just for the resources) the attacker will look at how many points you have along with how many points the serounding villages have, by doing this they can see who is upgrading there buildings and not training troops, then the attacker if they have any will scout the village(s) they think have not got many troops.
If they see the village is weak then that village and any others like it will become there farms, to aviod this happening to you is to train troops. In most worlds you start with a 5 day newbie protection which means no one can attack you ontill the 5 day’s is up, bare in mind though 5 day’s is not very long so you will have to spend your resources carefully. And this is how some people tend to use there resources.
Upgrade the resource mines as this is the way forward and with small resource mines you are not going to be able to do much, so for the 1st 4 day’s focus on the following buildings.
Village HQ, upgrade to level 3.
Wood Camp, upgrade as much as possible.
Clay Pit, upgrade as much as possible.
Iron Mine, upgrade a few levels but never upgrade to the same level as the other mines.
Farm, upgrade to level 2 or 3.
Warehouse, upgrade to level 3 or 4 depending on the level of your resources mines.
By doing that you are ok and should be easily ready to train troops, if however there are any abandened villages nearbye which are show as grey dats or grey villages depending on which map view your looking at, if there are any abandened villages nearbye then build your barracks asap and start training your spearmen, when you have at least 20 spearmen start attacking the abandened villages, doing this will increase your building abilites much more and enable you to out grow a few other people in your area.
If however there are no abandened villages near you then on day 5 build your barracks and start training troops, spend every resources you make throughout the day on troops and nothing else no matter how tempted you may be.
Day 6, the nowbie protection has ended and its time to start looking out for attacks and attacking those you think don’t have troops, remember if you loose all your troops then you are open to been farmed so be careful who you attack.

After making Wood, Clay LVL 24 and Iron LVL23 you should have about 1675 spears and 1675 swords. This is a very good defense for you at the moment.
So now your new stats are
Wood 1454 per Hour

You now have very good resource production and many points with practically no buildings.
You have 1675 spears and 1675 swords which would make it very difficult to fight with.
And you are ready to begin building up an academy
Build 1000 axemen and get stable built.
Build 750 heavy cav and 500 light cav
Build also 600 scouts
Build Smithy Level 20 and hq level 20 Market lvl 15 and begin getting nobles you should get more then 3.
Send all scouts to the village you want to noble and see report
If he has level 20 wall it would be better that you destroy it so send a couple of rams and cats all on wall and demolish it
As soon as you receive report send 1675 spears, 1675 swords, 1000 axemen, 750 heavy cav, 500 light cav, paladin and noble.
You should have this village in five attacks or less.
After you get your first village send all your defensive troops to him if he is good with many points about 5000. After your troops arrive
Rename him D village and yours O village ( you can just change it mentally) get a couple of other villages and you are invincible.
Build some more troops
This tactic might take you weeks but rest assurd that it is invincible if you have no immediate threats near you

This is probably one of the best free online games I have ever played. Its wicked! I got hooked the day I started and eventually it made me spread onto Worlds 4 through to 11! Hi! I play in World 6. I already played 3 weeks and now I’ve got 2.389 points. An advice, the quickest way to get resources is to attack a player with a big Warehouse. Scout, and attack after scouting if you think that will be favorable for you.

holy dude sorry caant be arsed to type those thingys go onto map and click on there village then click send troops if they are still under begginer protection it will tell you and tell you when you can attack em.if they have a high leveled hiding place dont bother attacking themm becausw you wont get much or u might not get anything.lol happened to me once and i only had 4 swordsman at the end of it.hope that helps and hope u keep playing on t.w.if u have any more questions just put em on here and ill try and anser.

Have any of you guys ‘found’ special weapons for your paladin? Are they of any real value, or just for fun? I am 77% towards finding one, but don’t want to attack with my paladin too much as he seems to be the first one to die all the time.
Additionally, at a certain Village HQ level, you are able to destroy buildings. I assumed that meant your enemys’ buildings, until I attained that level and I saw that it is for demolishing your OWN buildings. I can only see two reasons to do this: laying waste to a village you have just taken over but know you will not be able to hold, and maybe to lower the people requirements of certain buildings so that you can have more fighting units (if you ever max out the number of villagers your farms allow). Neither of these seems to be too useful, so is there any other reason you would want to demolish your own buildings?

um, i play travian, have for a few moths. i played TW a little before this, but switched over. travian was created before this copy, and is actually a more complete game. this one has a nicer interface, but i prefer travian by far. but, preferances are merely arbitrary opinions.

I also found out that you can play in Speed without PA. But you need to be the first 100 to join the server. Anyway, I been playing a lot of browser games, but this one is one of the best of them.
